Press Release Body: Recently an exhibition of photo paintings by New York (USA) based artist Ekathrina S. was organised by Studio Vasant. Entitled \"India: Sensuality and Spirituality\", the exhibition will continue till 31st January at Lalit Kala Akademi. Before the inauguration for all the art lovers at Lalit Kala Akademi, a special preview of the same was also organised at Studio Vasant. On the occasion Ekathrina, Jan Nicolas Schuatt (Deputy Head of Regional Delegation for South Asia), Baljeet Chadha (Director Studio Vasant), Manmohan Chadha, Sudhakar Sharma, Uday Jain, Gyiebok Chae, Mihee Chot and many others were present there. On this occasion Ekathrina said, \"Unity\" is the main concept of all my art. With every new project I go to different countries and try to discover new aspects of Unity in Duality. When I came to India for the first time, I was overwhelmed by the beauty of women, their colorful robes, saris and jewelry, the spicy food, strong smells, inspiring music, chaotic traffic, tranquility of the meditation resorts and erotic sculptures in the Hindu temples. I believe the way of life in Indian culture is connected very much to the body. Vegetarian food, training in yoga, breath exercises and seeing the Kama-Sutra as divine teaching of a way to enjoy life in all its richness are all tools to elevate the body by using the senses in a very controlled way. Over the centuries, the Indian people have been able to see the big picture of the Universe and connect it to their daily lives. The Indian way can be interesting for other societies, especially those which separate the body and the spirit in grotesque ways. By forcing sensuality into the realms of unholy, western people, for example, suffer from anxiety, stress, dissatisfaction, aggression and fear. In my photo-project \"India: Sensuality and Spirituality\" I am looking for balance and harmony between these seemingly opposite aspects. I want to inspire all civilizations to be open to the positivity and beauty of life. On the occasion Baljeet Chadha was all praise for Ekathrina. He said, Ekaterina and her art saturated in the multicultural landscape of Europe, USA and Russia has brought to India a fresh and exhilarating artistic experience about India's sensuality and spirituality.
