SAN DIEGO, CA - January 22, 2008 - PortVision, a web-based information service for maritime professionals, announced today the hire of Nice Skinner as vice president of business development.
Skinner holds nearly 25 years of experience as an accomplished senior operations and business development executive for companies focused in domestic and international maritime and technology markets.

Prior to joining PortVision, Skinner was vice president of international for Hercules Offshore, Inc. In that role he was in charge of all day-to-day international operations, including the transition and integration of international acquisitions and ensuring full compliance with applicable U.S. and local regulations. Prior to Hercules, Skinner was the vice president of International Operations for Danos & Curole Marine, Inc., and was responsible for all international operations, including the development of international marketing and operations strategies. He holds a bachelor's degree from Norwood College in the United Kingdom, and is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
