with Hawthorne Machinery, to install a solar energy system at their headquarters in

providing sales, rentals, parts and service to contractors worldwide. Under the
terms of the agreement, Clear Skies will install a 159 kW solar photovoltaic (PV)
system designed to offset the majority of their facility's current energy usage
charges.
Clear Skies reported, "After federal tax credits and a performance-based incentive
(PBI) from the California Solar Initiative (CSI), Hawthorne Machinery is expected to
incur an effective purchase price of only 20% of the cost of the system."
Clear Skies has also developed a proprietary low-cost remote monitoring solution,
XTRAX, to penetrate the emerging market for remotely measuring the production of
renewable energy systems.
