organised a painting exhibition entitled \"Cracking Spot!\" where the works of Nine
British artists are on display. The exhibition is organised as part of a celebration

Studio Vasant.
On the occasion of opening of Cracking Spot all the eminent British Artists; Graham
Clarke, James Hornton Vprba, Nick Tidnam RBA, Dr. Kelvin Griffin, Cas Holmes, Brian
Lewis, Wendy Smith, Mike Hutchins, Bernard Rangel, Ravinder Kalsi and Anjana
Kuthiala along with Baljit Chadha (director, Studio Vasant), his wife Manmohan
Chadha, Victor Vijay Kumar (painter), Namrata Chadha, Dr. Rajeev Nagpal (Sahaj
Sankalp), Jagmohan Singh (Secretary General, NRI Institute) and many others were
present there.
The exhibition represents a place where the continents have merged and the cultures
blended. Anglo-Indian art from the UK, with an angular twist for modernism, exhibits
with Royal British Art of typical Indian scene. It seems the flavor of
multi-culturalisum has certainly produced some amazing artwork. The organization of
the event is being run by Ravinder Kalsi MFA. She has a proven track record of
organizing multi-international and multi-national art events. Sup¬ported by the
Royal Societies with a considerable network including RBA, RA, RSWA, ROI, NEAC
artists, art fund managers, private gal¬leries, corporate sponsors and influential
circles in the UK and India.
Graham Clarke, artist, author and humorist, is one of Britain\'s most popular and
best-selling printmakers. He has created some five hundred images of rural life and
history. Responding to the comedy of everyday life, he brings his own unique brand
of humor to his interpretation of past and present history through the eyes of the
common man.
James Horton took his MA at the Royal College of Art and is cur¬rently the vice
president of the Royal Society of British Artists of which he has been a member
since 1979. He exceeds in oil, waterc¬olour and pastels and also takes commissions
on extensive portraits.
Nick Tidnam studied at Camberwell School of Art. His tutors included Frank Auerbach,
Richard Lee, Michael Rothenstein and Christopher Chamberlin. Nick was elected to the
Royal Society of British Arts in 2001.
On this occasion Baljit Chadha said, our country is filled with rich culture &
heritage and tourists, artists & others get influenced by this. Being influenced by
this the British artists have got the encouragement to come up with this painting
exhibition which is worth seeing.
NRI Institute\'s Jagmohan Singh has all the praise for British artists. He said that
the works of these artists are awesome and everybody appreciated also. Seeing the
over whelmed response of people it looks like that artists are getting success in
their aim to bring their work amongst the masses & artists.
