Press Release Summary: Business Scene Dorset has raised funds for Round Table Children\'s Wish
Press Release Body: Business Scene Dorset celebrated its first birthday with a fundraising networking event in aid of Round Table Children's Wish.
The organisation, which unites networking groups from around the county, marked the occasion with a party at Poole Audi and food from Topogigio's.
Business advisor Laura McHarrie delivered a motivational speech and led the Lloyds TSB networking game. Guests included members of Business Xchange, the Carrington Club, Dorset Business and Ecademy.
A raffle at the event raised more than £150 for Bournemouth-based RTCW.
Simon Phillips, Regional Director of Business Scene, said: "I hope this is the first of many events from which Round Table Children's Wish can benefit as we expand. The charity, which makes wishes come true for children with life-threatening illnesses, is very special.
"Business Scene is going from strength to strength - this year we're increasing our presence in Hampshire. Our goal is to help people to build business relationships and in Dorset we've certainly achieved that."
Since it was launched locally in 1990 Round Table Children's Wish has granted more than 1,100 Wishes to children throughout the UK. They include trips to Disneyland Paris, swimming with dolphins, being a zoo-keeper for a day, shopping sprees and visits to meet sporting heroes.
