Press Release Summary: Web mogul Brad Bailyn explores new venture
Press Release Body: At 29, Brad Bailyn has already conquered the murky landscape of American law and blazed trails in the world of tween networking; now he's setting his sights on the growing empire that is web-based video with his prospective new project, tentatively named Real Life 365.
Based on the internet phenomenon lonelygirl15 (an ongoing series chronicling the life of fictional American high school student Bree), Real Life 365 will be a comprehensive database of videos submitted by users ages eight to sixteen recording their day to day lives. However, unlike lonelygirl15, Bailyn wants all the videos on Real Life 365 to be 100% unfabricated.
"While lonelygirl was successful and entertaining in its own right, I'm not interested in recycling old ideas," says Bailyn. "I think featuring real people doing real things will provide much more interesting material, and will connect with viewers a lot more."
Bailyn plans to ensure the quality and authenticity of the videos submitted by screening each one before posting it on the site.
"If people were allowed to just join the site and throw up whatever they want, it would be no different from You Tube. I want to ensure that all the content on the site fits the theme and is worth watching."
By creating the site, Bailyn hopes he will be creating a new venue for people to connect with each other and will help people to gain insight to each other's lives.
"Ideally, I want submissions from kids all over the world that really show what their family life is like and what their education is like and how they interact with their friends. Provided we get the content I'm hoping for, I think it will be very insightful and great entertainment. Like reality TV but much better."
If all goes to plan, Real Life 365 will launch in December of 2008.
