He wanted a wireless system to give business users access to the internet, and also offer a paid-for service for Café Bar customers. Edgecoms willingly accepted the challenge, and set about finding ways to meet the Guildhall's requirements.
Installation presented some problems, as the building is an old Victorian structure, with crawl spaces and unusually thick walls. After two days' hard work, Edgecoms' highly qualified staff completed the project on time and within budget.
The project enabled WIFI internet access throughout virtually the whole building. In addition, Edgecoms installed specialist equipment, allowing Guildhall staff to issue customer tickets with usernames and passwords, all at a touch of a button.
