Press Release Body: More than 100 avid bloggers to meet in India's blogging capital Chennai, May 30th, 2008: IndiBlogger.in along with Microsoft will be conducting the fifth meet at Hotel Dee Cee Manor, T-Nagar, Chennai on the Sunday 8th of June, 2008. The meet is open for all bloggers registered with IndiBlogger.in. Over 80 avid bloggers from Chennai have already registered, promising to make it the biggest blogging event of the year. Following the phenomenal success of the recently concluded blogger meets at Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune and Mumbai, the IndiBlogger team is pulling out all the stops for Chennai. Rebelz, a popular theatre group is going to perform at the blogger meet, making it a one of a kind event. The meet could not have come at a better time since Chennai was recently named as the blogging capital of India, reason for all Madrasi bloggers to celebrate. IndiBlogger has also confirmed the same, saying that their directory has the most bloggers from Chennai.
The previous IndiBlogger meetings received rave reviews on several well established blogs. Sathish from sathishsays.com had this to say - "I presumed everyone might be having a dead serious look, with conversations about traffic, SEO and all that abnormal nonsense we would like to keep to our computers. But I was dead wrong. The IndiBlogger team is a bunch of crazy people, hell bent on having fun." A snippet from Sandil\'s post on Mutiny.in- \"I must say, I\'ve never been to a more enjoyable blogger meet ever, and no, it wasn\'t because of the pizzas. The crowd was super, totally my-kinda like-minded folk. I guess the caption on the T-shirts pretty much summed it up. We blog, therefore we are.\"
\"Most bloggers don\'t realize that they collectively form a highly influential media in the world today. With a little bit of collaborative thinking, Indian bloggers have the potential to change things for the better. Our pilot meet was at Bangalore and we achieved our objective of making the meeting both meaningful and fun. This has spurred us on, and I'm looking forward to the Chennai meet as it's my hometown\" said Mr. Renie Ravin, the founder of IndiBlogger.in.
Get IndiBlogging The website helps you find bloggers by name, city, language or user-generated tags (keywords). Members can organize local blogger meetings by coordinating with other bloggers in the directory. Every member in their directory needs to be approved first, as cleverly outlined on their site - \"We\'ve also added new submission guidelines for IndiBlogger, since we had many spammers trying to pass themselves off as blogs. Needless to say, their thinly veiled disguises failed to bypass our high-tech blog validation algorithms (our moderators).\"
IndiBlogger.in Launched in September 2007, IndiBlogger.in has over 3000 blogs registered in the directory, with the number of submissions from bloggers increasing every day. The website was conceived by Renie Ravin, a web architect with a decade of experience in this field. He ran a successful web design agency for a couple of years and moved onto being an internet consultant for several well known Indian brands. Supporting the IndiBlogger efforts are Anwin, Naveen, Anoop and Balaganesh who play key roles in the continuous growth and success of IndiBlogger.in.
