Press Release Body: July 21, 2008 - When workers handle hazardous waste, ship hazardous materials, or work in certain areas exposed to storm water, training is not just a good idea, it\'s the law. According to the EPA, workers who handle hazardous waste must be trained annually, and the federal DOT requires that workers involved in the shipment of hazardous materials be trained at least every three years. In addition, EPA\'s Multi-Sector General Permit requires training for all employees who work in areas where industrial materials or construction activities are exposed to storm water, and for all employees responsible for implementing activities in their storm water pollution prevention plan. Environmental Resource Center, the leading provider of environmental and safety training, will present the mandatory training in Greensboro at the Hilton Garden Inn on August 12 - 15, 2008. All classes will be held at this location. Hazardous Waste Management: The Complete Course will be taught on August 12 and 13. Hazardous Materials Certification Training for DOT 49 CFR Transportation Regulations will be taught on August 14. Storm Water Management will be taught on August 15, 2008.
