Press Release Body: Pocatello - "We\'re going to let you in on a little secret," reads the Intro to the second edition of \'Cyber Gold,\' "the internet is like a big pond, and only two percent of the fish in the pond really even know how to swim. The others are only there because they knew they needed to be in the pond, but they didn\'t give it any more thought than that." Local authors and internet entrepreneurs, Pam Mosbrucker and Tobin Alder, come through with another great reference book in addition to a user-friendly online university for anyone looking to build an online business. "We\'ve been doing this for a while now," said Alder, "and keep educating ourselves on how the internet works. We\'ve seen our own sites go from page four million to the first page in the search engines. And thanks to that, our confidence in our ability has grown as we\'ve seen our strategies and techniques work." Mosbrucker and Alder will be speaking at the Marshall Public Library on Saturday July 19, 2008, at 10:30 A.M. They will address what it takes to develop a successful online business, current security issues, and how to generate traffic to your website. There will be a question and answer period as well as advice guiding you to necessary tools and resources that are often hard to find. Mosbrucker and Alder have just authored and published the second edition to their guidebook, entitled "Cyber Gold: A Guidebook on How to Start Your Own Home Based Internet Business, Build an E-Commerce Website, and Strategies for Complete Search Engine Optimization," ISBN: 978-0615181073. The new edition comes with the online course and is also available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, or anywhere books are sold. "The first edition was published in May 2007 and was as current as we could make it at the time of its printing," said Mosbrucker. "In the last few months of 2007, computers advanced, and websites changed their entire site structures and corporate images (like PayPal did in November). Even search engine optimization strategies shifted, incorporating new and exciting methods as well as changing common tactics, encouraging us to write the second edition." The online university that Mosbrucker and Alder created was developed especially for those wanting to build a website. The course grants access to an online virtual campus and video training, an integrated forum and community, and a full step by step, six module course. More information can be found at http://www.smallbusinessonlinecollege.org and those attending the library talk will receive a certificate to take the online course at a special discounted rate. Both Alder and Mosbrucker taught a course based on their textbook this past fall at their alma mater, Idaho State University, for the Continuing Education Department that developed into their online university. They also run a full-time commercial writing and website design business, Word Partners Ink.
