Press Release Body: ORLANDO, Fla. (July 9, 2008) - The vacation rental industry's nonprofit consumer awareness group, Discover Vacation Homes, anticipates a tidal wave of new rental occupancy this and next year that stems from advocacy efforts geared toward travelers seeking Orlando accommodations. The economic effects will be felt across the board by Central Florida's property management companies and, in turn, by their second homeowner partners pursuing real estate investment returns.
"Consumer awareness of Orlando's vacation home rental product is now growing with great momentum. As more travelers become receptive to the option and its benefits, we expect Orlando's second homeowners to experience a paralleled boost in rental income," states Steve Trover, President of Discover Vacation Homes.
Homeowners often utilize the services of a property management company to ensure quality control for their guests, and often, more rental bookings for a higher return when compared to other real estate investment options.
"Nearly all of our group's funds are dedicated to increasing the public's knowledge of the vacation rental category through national public relations and publicity efforts. The ensuing ripple effect will be felt by the entire industry."
Vacation rental homes managed through Discover Vacation Homes' eight founding members are privately owned. Association members manage the home rental, marketing, maintenance, and administration process and, in some instances, assist in the purchase and sale of homes.
