Press Release Summary: At this year's Games Convention, FISHLABS Entertainment GmbH, leading developer of high quality 3D mobile games, was present with a large booth in the consumer hall for the first time, along with their spot in the joint booth for Hamburg@work in the Business Centre. With the large format presentation of premium mobile games and the support of Sony Ericsson, visitors were able to see for themselves that games on mobile phones have also been up to the standards of demanding PC and console gamers for a while now. Thus, FISHLABS were able to position themselves internationally as an innovative developer and now also as a publisher of high quality mobile games.
Press Release Body: Along with their award-winning games Blades & MagicT, Powerboat ChallengeT, and Rally Master ProT, the Hamburg-based company was able to provide the first look at the eagerly awaited premium 3D games Galaxy on FireT 2 und Gladiator - The mobile Game - which will appear in the late autumn of this year - at the Games Convention. In addition, visitors could win Sony Ericsson W760i Walkman mobile phones every day, as well as FISHLABS Games Packs, each with 5 full version games. Overall, more than 5,000 people took part in the drawing.
Furthermore, FISHLABS had full versions available for free download via Bluetooth at their consumer booths. A total of 85,000 devices were recognised via Bluetooth and 10,000 game downloads were recorded. That the recognised phones were clearly dominated by the models from Sony Ericsson and Nokia confirmed the FISHLABS strategy of supporting only these devices and optimising their games accordingly.
FISHLABS CEO Michael Schade was pleased with the strong media interest, numerous press interviews, and the TV reporting by ARD from the FISHLABS booth. "With our high quality mobile games and the claim "Console feeling on mobile phones", we hit the bull's-eye," he remarked. "Visitors practically attacked our booth to download our games free to their mobiles via Bluetooth. We are convinced that we have won over many new gamers with this action and our 3D mobile games at the GC.'
"For Sony Ericsson, the presence at the Games Convention was also a complete success," says Axel Kettenring, General Manager Sony Ericsson Deutschland. "The crowd at the FISHLABS booth was impressive, and the products from Sony Ericsson were very popular with gamers. We want to continue building on these strengths in the future. Our new models, like the F305, and the extensive offer of mobile games in our recently launched PlayNow Arena service underscores this."
