Press Release Body: Austin, Texas (August 27, 2008) – Award-winning Australian developers Constellation Property Group (CPG), acclaimed for such projects as the Bondi Beach “Icebergs”, ‘Top of the Town’ on Sydney Harbor, and the recent sensation STELLA in San Diego, have announced their newest project with Star Luxe; a limited collection of opulent, one-of-a-kind penthouse residences. Selecting Austin as their next point of U.S. discovery, the developers will once again collaborate with architects Marchese + Partners International (MPI), who were inspired by the imagination of Texas’s capital while designing the unique project on stunning Lady Bird Lake. Eugene Marchese, President of CPG and MPI says, “Star Luxe will be one of the most exceptional structures the world has ever seen. The size and design of each residence will make these customizable homes a true ‘real estate collectors’ dream.”
Comprised of 18 exclusive units, Star Luxe will re-define the concept of lavish real estate; offering a distinctively original philosophy and aesthetic. Inspired by Austin’s immersion in art, music, and architecture, Star Luxe will deliver three grand designs; ‘The Guitar’, shaped by the instrument’s exquisite lines, ‘The Salazar’, fashioned after an imagined artist within the Art Nouveau movement, and ‘The International’, modeled after Marchese’s signature ultra-modern designs and premium new technology. Star Luxe supersedes any previous definitions of luxurious real estate with these lakefront penthouses situated alongside Austin’s lively Hike and Bike Trail. CPG’s approach lies well beyond unique; an apartment shaped like a guitar or one modeled after a fictional artist stands in direct opposition to the much-criticized ‘generic’ buildings on the market. In fact, the project’s literal immersion in art, music, and architecture seems to keep in line with Austin’s anti-gentrification slogan of keeping the city ‘weird’.
Star Luxe’s approach to servicing its residents is to free them from everyday concerns. Upon arrival to Austin, owners will be picked up in a vehicle from the property’s signature transportation fleet, received by the white- gloved valet, escorted through the armed security guarded-lobby, and delivered to their unit via private elevator. Residents will feel immediately settled upon entry with their “Demands List” previously arranged, which instructs the 24-hour concierge of their ‘re-stocking’ requirements such as preferred groceries, clothing, beverages, reading materials, toiletries, and even a 5-course meal. Additional desires such as private trainers, nutritionists, personal shoppers, maids, and even the latest movies and music accessible from sophisticated in-home technology will all be arranged for as well.
Each unit at Star Luxe includes full surveillance and a fireproof, waterproof, safe room and vault as well as secure garage spaces, a ‘flex’ room that can be converted to a gym or sound studio, wine storage, water filtration system, and exclusive Italian kitchens with Gagganeau appliances. “Collapsible” glass walls will be a central feature of each residence, blurring the line between indoor and outdoor spaces and resulting in a completely open and free sensation with remarkable views of Austin’s skyline. The palatial 4,000 square foot penthouses with their massive balconies allow owners to enjoy the feeling of a lakefront private home with the convenience of urban style living.
In 2006, Austin was selected as the No. 1 Best Big City in "Best Places to Live" by Money magazine and has seen consistent population and economic growth, which continues to feed real estate appreciation year after year. With top technology corporations moving into the rolling hills of Austin at a rapid pace, the city has earned itself the nickname "Silicon Hills". Employment rates are high and show no signs of slowing down, which may explain Austin’s explosion of migration from the East Coast, West Coast, and even Asia. In fact, Forbes recently referred to the low-crime capital of Texas as “recession proof.” Additionally, the city’s laid-back ‘anti-paparazzi’ attitude has created a safe-haven for celebrities and high-profile individuals alike.
