In a meeting at The Hotel Captain Cook in Anchorage, Forbes commented that "My faith in the Republican Party has been restored. John McCain and Sarah Palin will bring back traditional Republican principles and restore our government to its rightful owners - the citizens of this country."
When asked if he truly thought that Sarah Palin was qualified to be VP and, potentially, President of the United States, Forbes replied, "Absolutely. Sarah is a natural born American citizen at least 35 years of age and has lived in the US for the past 14 years. Those are, in fact, the only qualifications."
Mr. Forbes went on to say that "When you get right down to it, who is ever really qualified to take on what is, most likely, the most difficult job in the world? Sarah is sharp as a tack, a quick-study, a very capable administrator and knows where to go to get good information. She will surround herself with the best and the brightest and only make decisions when she is absolutely certain she has all the facts. Only then will she make a decision and you can rest assured that the decision will always be in the best interest of the people she serves."
