Press Release Body: GREENSBORO, NC – Sept. 29, 2008 – Produce A Pic launches produceapic.com for independent filmmaking today.
Produce A Pic involves movie fans in the film production process by selling Film Promo Pacs at $25 for movies currently in pre-production. The Promo Pac includes a Film Team membership and pre-purchase of a Special Edition DVD. The Promo Pac subsidizes the film's budget and give the purchasers a unique way to be involved in the filmmaking process.
By purchasing a Film Promo Pac, purchasers become members of the Film Team for that movie. As part of the Film Team, the purchaser's name will be included in the film's credits with the other members of the team. The Promo Pac also includes information to promote the movie: exclusive film content, news clippings, and digital artwork to help promote involvement with the film through everyday activities like emailing, blogging, and interacting with friends and family online.
Produce A Pic founder Chris Walker describes the site as "a fun and easy way for anyone who is into movies to get involved with the filmmaking process in a unique way. The Promo Pac allows everyone the chance to find a film idea they like and transform it into a film reality they can share."
The Film Promo Pac includes: • Name in the film credits as a member of the Film Team • Special Edition DVD signed by the cast and crew • Social Web Materials • Blog and Email Goodies such as updates on the film, descriptions and logos • Behind the scenes access
Produce A Pic has several projects slated for its launch. The film projects will be produced by independent production companies working in conjunction with Produce A Pic to promote and market their projects.
Walker adds, "By simply promoting the film to your family and friends through your blog, social network pages, or emails, the film can easily create a buzz on the internet, and maybe even catch the attention of a distributor in the process."
If the film is picked up by a distributor, Film Team members are eligible for reward points which can be redeemed as gift cards to selected online stores.
Chris Walker is also owner of 5Rings Design and Ve-Shan, a developer of branded content. For more information, visit www.produceapic.com.
