By popular demand, Peak Village sees the return of its unmissable ice skating rink on 20 and 21 December; a proportion of the proceeds of this event will benefit Rowsley C of E school.
Martin Langsdale, one of the managing partners of Peak Village, said: "We are delighted with the events planned for Peak Village during the festive season. We have tried to come up with a varied programme that will be interesting and exciting for all ages. Although some of the events are new, some - like the ice rink - have been to Peak Village before and we have included them again because of the positive feedback we had from the shoppers in the past."
With the exception to the ice skating rink and Santa's Grotto, there is no entry charge for any of these events or entertainment. Martin adds: "We appreciate that the run up to Christmas is an expensive time and therefore we are offering these fun and interesting additions mostly free of charge. We will soon be planning our events for 2009 and we hope to be able to include events for most weekends and we are also looking at the events to cater for the weekday shoppers."
Peak Village is home to nearly 20 retailers including national names like Cotton Traders, Leading Labels, Ponden Mill, The Cook Shop and Mountain Warehouse. The outlet shopping centre attracts 750,000 visitors a year and offers visitors the opportunity to combine shopping with other local attractions. ENDS
