Press Release Summary: The hot topic in the online poker industry over the past week
has been the fallout from the ruling issued by Judge Thomas Wingate not to dismiss
an order by the Governor of Kentucky, Steve Beshear, to seize 141 internet gambling
domain names. Instead, a final forfeiture hearing was scheduled for Monday, November
17th. If successful, 141 internet gambling sites, including major online poker
rooms, could lose their domains permanently worldwide.

Press Release Body: San Jose, Costa Rica - October 24, 2008 -- (Express Press
Release) Online poker has come under fire in recent weeks. This time, the action
came from Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear, who ordered the seizure of 141 internet
gambling domain names, including those belonging to PokerStars, Ultimate Bet, and
Full Tilt Poker. Last week, Judge Thomas Wingate refused to overturn Beshear's order
and instead scheduled a final forfeiture hearing for next month. If the domain names
are ultimately forfeited, they would be inaccessible to online poker enthusiasts around the world.
This week, Americans for Tax Reform President Grover Norquist joins the
PocketFives.com Poker Podcast to
break down the case.

Norquist told PocketFives.com, "We're very unhappy because Governor Steve Beshear is
trying to censor internet sites. The Governor's attempt to censor the internet is
step one. What else will he decide he won't like? It's bad enough when China does
this stuff, but for a U.S. state to do it, it's awful."

Meanwhile, two Brazilian players made headlines over the weekend, as Leandro
"brasapoker" Pimentel and "caio_pimenta" fought heads-up in the Full Tilt $1 Million
Guaranteed. "Brasapoker" came out on top, earning $184,000 and solidifying his lead
in Brazil's online tournament rankings. "Caio_pimenta" took home $113,000 for second
place, while American Shane "shaniac" Schleger won $59,000 for fourth place.
"YanniYankeivich" and "lockdownpokah" chopped the PokerStars Sunday Second
Chance for $40K each and Norway's "JohnnyBelow" received $48,750 for his victory in
the Stars $200 Sunday rebuy. Felipe "improved" Montenegro of Costa Rica won the
TitanPoker $250K Guaranteed for $55,000 and "Pist0nH0nda" was awarded $48,750 for
taking down the Full Tilt Sunday Mulligan.

This week's Online Poker Rankings
update features Mario "TheRealPokerccini" Puccini, who moved up four spots to #9
overall this week after stringing together wins in the PokerStars Nightly Hundred
Grand and the $100K Guaranteed tournaments. His largest cash came from a deep run in
the $10K WCOOP event for $41,000. Mark "dipthrong" Herm is back in the spotlight
after having a record-breaking performance in Sunday major tournaments earlier this
year. Herm chopped the Stars "Sunday 500" for $69,600 to add to his list of scores
and is now ranked #12 worldwide. New to the Rankings this week are Sweden's
"gerrard," "phatcat," "IWEARGOGGLES," and former number two ranked online tournament
player in the world Scott "SCTrojans" Freeman. Scott is considered by some to be the
best online tournament player in the world and will have plenty to prove as he
begins his long climb back into the top of the Rankings after taking a break from
online poker.
