This session will explore the many benefits financial institutions can expect from legacy modernization including lowered maintenance costs, increased business agility and the availability of new technologies. Critical drivers for legacy modernization activities will be examined, including the rising maintenance costs of legacy applications, the need to align IT with business objectives, the shrinking pool of qualified resources capable of understanding and maintaining these applications, and the need to upgrade to modern, more flexible systems.
