Top 5 finish

Press Release Body: Rougemont, NC- Ward Burton Enterprises is pleased to announce
the 50-lap Limited Sportsman Division event at Orange County Speedway on Oct. 4 at 2
p.m. that will feature Ward’s son, Jeb Burton racing in his No.27 car.

The Orange County Speedway, located in Northeastern Orange County at 9740 NC Highway
57, is America’s fastest 3/8s track. The track is a 3/8 mile asphalt, high- banked
oval track with 16 degree banking in the straightaway and 19 degree banking in the
turns. The banking and wide-sweeping turns make this facility the fastest 3/8s mile
track in the country.

“I’ve had some success this season and would love to add a top five finish at the
Orange County Speedway to that,” said Jeb Burton. “This is a great course and I
think we have a car that can really be successful there.”

Jeb, the 16-year-old son of former Daytona 500 winner Ward Burton, made his
professional racing debut at his hometown track, the South Boston Speedway, on Aug.
16. He has four Top 5 finishes in seven total races this season. Jeb plans to
finish the Limited Sportsman Division 2008 calendar year strong before setting the
bar at winning a Limited Sportsman Division championship in 2009.

“I’ve been pleased with Jeb and the teams progress so far this year,” said Ward
Burton, who won a Busch Series race at the Orange County Speedway in 1993. “We’re
hoping to notch a Top 5 finish, if not win the race, this weekend.”
