Press Release Body: "Feeling Old Feelings" narrates the
rise of rock legend Richard Turner, from his obscure early days
in London later in the 50's, to the materialization of his teenage
dream: be a superstar. What really fuels his burning ambition is
Peggy, he first met in London at 14.
As he becomes more and more successful touring the
world and topping the charts, Peggy masterminds paper acquisition
across the globe, but an unknown enemy decides they must be destroyed.
The story spans three decades (from early 60's to
early 90's), mixes fiction and real events and characters such as
the Profumo Scandal, the Cuba Crisis, JFK, Marilyn Monroe, the Swinging
London, the Vietnam war, the rise and fall of the
Berlin Wall, the drug culture, the sex revolution, the hippies and
the yuppies, Andy Warhol, the wild tours, the collapse of the Communism,
the Aids scare, the struggle to control the world's media and information
markets.
Set in London, Paris, the South of France, New York,
the US, the Caribbean, India, Morocco, the Middle East Venice and
Jamaica, the story has a web of love, danger and death.
"Feeling Old Feelings" could be a commercial success not
only in print, but also ideal for film adaptation. It is the first
true rock'n'roll mass fiction novel ever written.
