DirectRooms.com reports that the Parenteral Drug Association (PDA) and the European Medicine Agency (EMA) will be convening near Heathrow in May to discuss issues in relation to the production of pharmaceuticals and their development.
The 2011 PDA/EMA Joint Conference will focus on the themes of regulation, cooperation and innovation and how the two associations can work together to provide better practices within the field. Core areas will address the standards for good practices in manufacture and indicators for quality control.
Speakers at the event will come from leading companies and experts addressing answers to problems such as how to optimise production and reduce delays. This will specifically be looked at in relation to when vast quantities of drugs are needed in emergency situations.
Other subjects will cover regulations within the EU and recent updates to legislations and new forms of cell based substances and plans for their introduction into Europe. Presentations will also relate to concerns over quality in transportation and how this can be maintained.
The conference is being held at the Sofitel Heathrow Airport hotel from 3rd to 6th May 2011 and attending delegates are set to feature from many global pharmaceutical organisations as well as members of the PDA and EMA.
Lek Boonlert, marketing head at DirectRooms.com commented: “Such is the scale of the event that rooms at the venue and surrounding hotels are going to quickly become limited. In order to be guaranteed a place attendees are therefore strongly recommended to book places as soon as possible.”
