Nottingham’s Festival of Social Sciences is scheduled to take place between the 29th October and the 5th November 2011.
This is an annual event, which is aimed at giving academics and others with an interest in this specialised field an insight into the current research on social sciences and how it affects our everyday living. There will be a number of workshops and talks throughout the week, which are aimed at all members of society, whether they are schoolchildren or politicians. The festival will also include films, exhibitions and conferences.
Nottingham city centre hotels are expected to become full very quickly during the time of the festival. Lek Boonlert, DirectRooms.com Head of Marketing, has suggested that anyone travelling into the city, either for the festival or for other reasons and who will be needing accommodation, should ensure they book well in advance. This will help to avoid disappointment upon arrival in the city.
Nottingham has a many hotels, both close to the centre and on the outskirts. Anyone travelling from outside the city to the venue will find that the public transport is very good, so navigating the city should be very easy. There is a wide choice of accommodation to suit all tastes and needs, from budget rooms to luxury suites.
