The smoothest tunes will be on show in Holland this year as the coastal city of Rotterdam gets set to host the Jazz International Rotterdam festival. Thousands of jazz enthusiasts from all over the north of Europe will be heading into town to enjoy the cream of the Dutch jazz scene.
There are dozens of top names from the Dutch jazz scene taking part in this year's Jazz International Rotterdam event, including such popular acts as Tin Men and the Telephone, All That Wine and Jazz, Het Dwaallichtje and the best-selling Bill Frisell 858 Quartet.
Jazz fans can look forward to 2 days of quality live concerts over the course of November 18th and 19th this year, and with many thousands of additional visitors in town hotels in Rotterdam City Centre can expect to have a busy few days of it.
In addition to the biggest names from the Dutch jazz scene there will be new bands and artists on show from across Europe too. The event acts as a showcase for up and coming bands and musicians to get their music exposed to a whole new audience in Holland.
Lek Boonlert, marketing head of hotel room website DirectRooms.com, comments, “Live music is enormously popular in the Netherlands, and this year's Jazz International Rotterdam festival is expected to see thousands of people head into town. Smart travellers will be booking their accommodation online well before arriving to ensure they get a good choice of hotels at a decent price."
