Get ready for a white knuckle ride as the ACU British Supercross Championships hits London's Wembley Arena in 2012. Round three of the nationwide championships, a highlight in any motorbike fanatic's diary, will come to the capital on Saturday 14th January and fans visiting London to see all the petrol fuelled action are advised to book one of the many London hotels listed on LondonTown.com, where it's easy to see the hotels' proximity to the event venue.

Following the success of last year's sold out three round series in Belfast and London, this year's Supercross Championships promises to be bigger and better with a new additional combined series points fund to play for.

Those that follow the British Supercross Championship will not be surprised to learn that Neville Bradshaw has emerged as the man to beat in overall combined points for this year's series. He's closely followed by fellow Honda rider, Frenchman Nico Aubin, while defending SX1 and British Supercross champion Tom Church is in third place on points.

For those less familiar with Supercross, it is an indoor sport in which motorbikes race perilously around a specifically designed man-made dirt track, they tackle sheer jumps and breakneck turns resulting in a fast and furious show for the lucky spectators.

While this is an international event with riders from the US, Canadian, South African and Scandinavian, this year's series has the best ever line-up of British stars – including former British Motocross champion Stephen Sword and defending SX2 champion Jack Brunell – which has prompted the creation of a new award called the British Nations Cup. This annual award encourages some friendly rivalry between riders from England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales – the two who accumulate the most series points win.

There will also be a chance to catch the future champions and youth clubman programme in between the pro-racing action. Expect a star-studded line up of daredevil riders as they descend on London for an exhilarating, two-wheeled extravaganza.

Book your tickets for round three of the ACU British Supercross Championships at Wembley Arena early to avoid disappointment as tickets are expected to be in demand, stay in London overnight using LondonTown.com to book your hotel and plan your visit, whether it's for a family outing or a weekend away with friends.
