Bridgetown, Barbados is just recovering from the celebrations marking its fiftieth year of independence, and now it's preparing for equally colourful New Year's celebrations. 2011 has been a spectacular year for the tourist sector in Barbados, with the BTA (Barbados Tourism Authority) announcing an 8 per cent rise in arrivals over 2010.
