Butlins continues to invest during 2012

Butlins on-going investment programme continues into 2012 with around £12m being spent on new restaurants, more landscaping to open up green spaces on the resorts and upgrading accommodation. This is on top of the £25m Wave Hotel and Apartments opening in May at Bognor Regis.

The resort in Minehead will have a new premium dining room as well as a new family restaurant offering Mexican style chicken etc, new coffee bar and lounge and a dedicated archery range with new lessons accredited by Grand National Archery Society. Skegness will also have a new coffee bar and lounge, whilst Shoreline Hotel at Bognor Regis is having a new sandpit and water play area.

Having enjoyed a record year for sales in 2010 and, in spite of challenging economic conditions, this record is being exceeded by over 2% in 2011, with year on year sales already 9% ahead for 2012.

Some things are just too good to change so LazyTown returns with the high-activity Energy Show, finalists from Britain’s Got Talent and X-Factor will be performing live on stage and Danyl Johnson in Concert will wow guests once again in his hour long live show.

In 2012 Butlins guests can expect some fantastic new shows including ITV’s Stephen Mulhern hosting two new live shows - one full of magic and illusion and the other a family game show. Cbeebies’ Katy Ashworth brings ‘I can cook’ to life by hosting the show live, whilst Guinness World Record Science, better known for their world record breaking endeavours, has created an interactive science-based spectacular. Two great new musical shows are on resort this year; Glee-Force, a fun interactive show with all the most popular Glee music guaranteed to get guests on their feet and New Bounce in Concert, the boy band was the 2011 semi-finalists of Britain’s Got Talent, bring their lively singing and dance routines to the Butlins stage.

Prices at Butlins start from £326 for four people sharing a two-bedroomed Silver Apartment on a three night weekend break in June and over May half term at the Bognor Regis Resort. Prices include accommodation, all live entertainment and access to the majority of resort facilities such as Splash Waterworld, fun fair and most sports facilities.
