-- /EPR NETWORK/ -- Eurostar, the high speed passenger service between the UK and mainland Europe, has announced that it is extending its booking horizon by an extra four weeks this summer to cater for heightened demand.

Holidaymakers across the country can now book tickets from London St Pancras, Ebbsfleet International and Ashford International to Paris, Brussels and Lille for travel until the 15 August rather than 15 July, which is the typical Eurostar four month booking horizon.

Summer 2012 is set to be a blockbuster year for European travel. With the London 2012 Olympic Games and Diamond Jubilee celebrations in London, the 20th anniversary of Disneyland Paris and hundreds of music and cultural festivals throughout France and Belgium, the advice to holidaymakers is to book their trip early.

Nick Mercer, Commercial Director for Eurostar said: "The summer months are always our busiest for leisure travel and with so many exciting events happening across Europe, we expect this summer to be more popular than ever! This is why we've extended our summer booking horizon to five months and we're encouraging travellers to book early to avoid disappointment."

Tickets are available for travel from London St Pancras International, Ebbsfleet International and Ashford International to Paris, Disneyland Paris, Brussels and Lille. When passengers arrive in their chosen destination their Eurostar ticket gives them much more than travel alone with a range of enticing 'Eurostar Plus' offers for museums and galleries, restaurants and shopping.
