The Sainsbury’s Sport Relief event is to take place on March
25th 2012 and there are hundreds of locations from which members of the
public can take part in this excellent charity run, but perhaps one of
the most scenic is Land’s End, the extreme south westerly point of
Britain.
Located in West Cornwall, Land’s End makes a stunning sight for tourists every year,
but to make the most of this huge UK attraction while doing your bit for charity
consider the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile. This event occurs every year and raises
money for disadvantaged people within the UK, including young people with mental
health difficulties, isolated older people and whole local communities that need
help in order to improve residents’ lives.
Similar to all other Sport Relief locations, participants can choose between one
mile, three miles or six miles when taking part in the Land’s End event, so people
will be able to pick the best option for them. The choice of running the Sport
Relief Mile at Land’s End offers up the opportunity to take in some incredible
scenery while raising money for charity, so the event can be extra special.
David Bryans, General Manager of Land’s End said: “We’re thrilled to be working
alongside the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile and would like to encourage members of
the public to sign up for this event.
“Anyone can join in, but we think one of the best ways to do so is to sign up with a
group of friends or as a family so that you can raise money for an excellent cause
with your best friends and family members. It costs hardly anything to participate –
£6 for adults, £3 for children or £15 for a family of four. If you want to help
those who need it most sign up for the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile at Land’s End
today.”
