Set of 100 etchings made by the great artist will be held by the museum until September.

-- /EPR NETWORK/ -- Between 3 rd May and 2 nd September this year, the British museum will add to its huge collection of artworks the famous series of Picasso sketches known as the Vollard Suite.

Picasso made the drawings – some of them inspired by classical sculptures from the British Musuem itself – between 1930 and 1937. The exhibition will be the only complete collection of the Vollard works ever held in the UK.

The etchings demonstrate Picasso's fascination with mythology, with the Greek Minotaur a constant presence in the suite and present a unique insight into the great artist's oeuvre. Entry to the collection will be free. Opening times are 10am-5.30pm daily, with a later 8.30 closing time on a Friday night.
