2DAY Telecom Expands GSM Backhaul Services In Kazakhstan With SES

-- /EPR NETWORK/ -- SES (Euronext Paris and Luxembourg Stock Exchange: SESG) has announced that 2DAY Telecom has signed a long-term capacity agreement to expand its reach and meet the growing needs of GSM backhaul services throughout Kazakhstan.

2DAY Telecom increased capacity utilisation aboard SES' NSS-12 satellite by 50 per cent to 54 MHz to deliver mobile communication services over challenging mountainous terrain in Kazakhstan. NSS-12 is also used to provide top quality telephone service to meet the country's growing GSM demands.

2DAY Telecom is a subsidiary of VimpelCom in Kazakhstan. The VimpelCom group provides voice and data services through a range of wireless, fixed and broadband technologies in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Georgia, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Vietnam and Cambodia. VimpelCom operating companies provide services under the "Beeline" and "Kyivstar" brands. It is listed on the New York Stock Exchange and headquartered in Amsterdam.
