LondonTown.com has reduced rates at London hotels this summer to celebrate the capital’s beefed-up events programme that includes Dance Al Fresco

-- /EPR NETWORK/ -- Shaking off the shackles of the ballroom, Dance Al Fresco takes dancing outdoors to the beautiful surroundings of Regent's Park once again this summer. The origins of this now hugely popular dance spectacular began humbly. In 1998 a group of dancers began an impromptu performance of Argentine Tango, much to the amazement of Regent's Park regulars and awe-struck tourists. The group of dancers returned year after year, with their numbers swelling and before they new it they had a loyal following and an event on their hands.

Thanks to high-profile dance shows like Strictly Come Dancing, the UK has rekindled its love affair with dance. Now dance in a more organised fashion is enjoyed every summer in Regent's Park. Dance Al Fresco provides an opportunity to dance in the open air for free, but visitors can brush up on their dance moves or try dancing for the first time at one of the many ticketed dance classes, with all proceeds going to tree planting in the park.

The event runs for five weeks from 7 July through to 12 August at Regent's Park Inner Circle near the Open Air Theatre.

LondonTown.com has made enjoying this and other events throughout the capital this summer easier and cheaper thanks to securing discounts at a large number of London hotels. Prices, discounts and star ratings vary so all budgets are covered, from bargain seekers right through to luxury lovers.

One such cheap London hotel on offer from LondonTown.com during Dance Al Fresco is the Thistle Euston Hotel London. This four-star hotel is on offer from as little as £62 per room, per night thanks to an impressive reduction of up to 84%. This hotel has its own bar and restaurant as well as great access to Euston mainline rail and underground stations.

Alternatively, the four-star Park Plaza Sherlock Holmes Hotel London is on sale from £94 per room, per night due to a reduction of 74%. This hotel is housed inside two converted 18 th century townhouses, but there are modern, stylish and luxurious touches throughout.
