As many as 30,000 runners are expected to take part in the 10k loop race that begins at Hyde Park Corner. The route takes in some of London 's top sites, landmarks and areas including Trafalgar Square, Whitehall, Tower Bridge and the London Eye. All levels of runner are welcomed and novices and experienced runners alike will be joined by a whole host of celebrities and elite competitive runners. The time to beat from 2011 is 29 minutes achieved by Bernard Rotich.
Spectators will be able to watch competitors along the entire course, although popular locations will be in Hyde Park and along the Embankment and Whitehall.
