July 24, 2012, 7:15 am -- /EPR NETWORK/ -- Leicester Square's Empire Cinema will host the fourth Film4 FrightFest this August, running from the 23 rd until the 27 th of the month.
The four days of screenings include premieres, previews and special screenings of some of the best horror and fantasy films to have emerged over the past year. Organiser Paul McEvoy will once again choose his top picks which, in 20122, included Kill List, Inbred and The Theatre Bizarre.
The festival – which has been running since 2009 – has a history of talks and workshops from some of the biggest names in film (including Oscar-winning director and Olympics opening ceremony organizer Danny Boyle). The 2012 event promises to be no different.
For travelling film fans hoping to stay close to the festival, without paying the sort of prices usually associated with exclusive West End accommodation, LondonTown.com has partnered with a number of leading hotels in London to offer discounts for the duration of the event.
The Thistle Piccadilly Hotel London is literally a stone's throw from the Empire. It's currently offering double rooms at an 84% discount, making the cost of a night's stay only £90.
The Radisson Blu Edwardian Hampshire Hotel is about two minute's walk from the theatre. Situated on Leicester Square, the hotel is offering a deluxe double room from just £ 143 – a 73% reduction on the standard rate. Both London hotels featured are only available with the discount when booking through LondonTown.com. See the website for more London hotels, and for further information on the 2012 Film4 FrightFest.
