-- /EPR NETWORK/ -- Battersea Park is joining in the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations with a family-oriented festival, taking place on Sunday June 3rd.

LondonTown.com, the capital's leading hotel and event booking website, is offering special rates on a selection of conveniently located London hotels to coincide with the festival.

The event – which kicks off at midday - will feature music, dance, a funfair and a wealth of other entertainment, the centerpiece of which will be a giant flotilla on the boating lake. There will also be a pop-up pub serving drinks until the festival closes at 7pm.

A diamond-encrusted cake stand will be on hand selling more than a thousand royal-themed cakes. A special cake-based portrait of the Queen will be created specially for the festival by luxury bakers Konditor and Cook. There will also be a temporary museum featuring royal memorabilia. The day is being organized by designer Wayne Hemingway and artist Clare Patey. Entry to the festival is free.

Among the hotel deals on offer at LondonTown.com, the exclusive No. 11 Cadogan Gardens Hotel is around a 20 minute walk from Battersea Park. When booking through LondonTown.com, patrons are offered a 36% discount on the usual rate, bringing the nightly cost for a double room down to £180.

Just as close, Sydney House, an exquisitely furnish townhouse conversion in Chelsea, is offering a double room from £171 – a 20% on the standard nightly rate.
